Dragon Medical One 2024.3: Enhancing Clinical Documentation Efficiency
Introducing the Latest Update
We are excited to announce the release of Dragon Medical One (DMO) 2024.3, bringing significant enhancements to streamline clinical documentation processes. This update introduces new features and important changes to support policies, ensuring that healthcare professionals have access to the most efficient and secure tools for their documentation needs.
Key Features in DMO 2024.3
1. Formatted Auto-texts
Administrators can now enable or disable auto-text formatting options such as bolding, italicizing, and bulleted lists at the organization, site, or group level through the Nuance Management Center (NMC).
2. Enhanced Auto-text Management
- Redesigned UI for simplified auto-text creation and management
- New toggle for “Formatted text” when creating auto-texts
- Improved user experience for efficient documentation
3. Session Expiry Notification
Users will now receive a clear message when their active login session expires, prompting them to log back in to Dragon Medical One. This feature enhances security and ensures continuous, authorized access to the system.

Revised Support Definitions
We’ve updated our support definitions to provide clearer guidance on the lifecycle of Dragon Medical One releases:
Support Phase | Duration | Description |

Supported | 12 months | Full support with issue investigation and resolution |
Limited Support | 6 months | Basic support with limited issue resolution |
End of Life (EOL) | After 24 months | No longer functional due to cloud infrastructure updates |
Long Term Service Release (LTSR) Update
The end of support date for Dragon Medical One LTSR, previously set for June 30, 2024, has been postponed. A revised date will be communicated in the future.
Technical Requirements
- WebView2: Now required for enhanced content display in DMO’s personalization and help windows
- .NET Framework: Currently requires version 4.7.2 or higher, with plans to require version 4.8+ in the next 3-6 months
- Cerner Users: .NET 8 runtime is mandatory for Edge-enabled mPages functionality
