Dragon Medical Advisor 1.6

Dragon Medical Advisor 1.6 release date: May 29, 2019

User interface updates

  • Patient identification: To improve the workflow between Dragon Medical Advisor (DMA) and the EHR experience, DMA will now display the patient’s identification information above the advice window.
  • Advice categorization: To support our growing library of guidance content, DMA advice will not be displayed in advice categories, like Specificity or Potential Missing Diagnoses. This will allow users to easily review and act upon different advice in-workflow.

Clinical Guidance*

  • Dragon Medical Advisor provides in-workflow guidance that integrates evidence-based guidance with real-time point-of-care advice across care settings to add specificity to existing diagnoses and discover evidence of undocumented diagnoses. Providers are alerted to these instances during the documentation process so that notes can be updated. Clinical Evidence leads to improved identification of principal diagnoses, as well as complication or comorbidity (CC), or a major complication or comorbidity (MCC) when used as a secondary diagnosis. Integrating evidence-based guidance with Clinical Guidance is a limited-release feature in pilot testing. If you would like to learn more, please get in touch with your Account Executive.

Pediatric Guidance*

  • Dragon Medical Advisor helps improve documentation for care of infants, children, and adolescents with Pediatric Guidance. The content scope of Dragon Medical Advisor has been expanded to include specific support designed to improve how care is documented in pediatric settings. Real-time advice helps physicians add important specificity details to existing diagnoses, discover evidence of missing diagnoses, and guides improved documentation quality for pediatric medicine. Additionally, pediatric guidance within DMA identifies key evidence to help providers reduce instances of missing or undocumented diagnoses. Pediatric Guidance within DMA can be enabled using the Nuance Management Center. Pediatric Guidance is a limited-release feature in pilot testing. If you would like to learn more, please contact your Customer Success Executive.
